Hello,

I'm wondering why I get different coordinates for the imported survey data when I use the toggle option: "Import objects georeferenced". It seems that when I turn this option off, the correct coordinates are shown. 

In both cases I have the settings for the coordinates: “Import refers to VW zero point”.

Can someone explain the logic behind this? I'm new to georeferencing tools and trying to understand the basics.

Anyways, I suppose this happens when your document is already georeferenced (as VWX's template documents are set to Berlin in the German version) and upon import it tries to match the imported file to that reference system.

 

If you don't need the georeference - which you only do if you want to use tools from the GIS palette - I would recommend to turn it off in document settings, and import your file without checking the box for a referenced import. Also, always import into a blank file using the first import option:
