Simple connector 3d tool

Hi

How to I set up the "Simple Connector 3d tool" to drill 2 holes with 1 click?

I'd like to be able to drill a 5mm through hole, with an 8mm hole that is only 1.5mm deep.

This is used to place "countersunk' screw holes for fixing cabinets together, so they don't have to be drilled by hand onsite.

I asked Stephan Mönnighoff about this years ago. He managed to get an example to work using macros, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

To date, I've had to either add these extra 8mm drillings manually in Vectorworks or add it later after I have exported to my CNC software.

what kind of CNC u got? If u place more then 1 mechanization an the same location one of them can be defect, because there is no material, where the "fertigungsrealismus" kills your plan.

 

Depends ob the cnc it is easy or impossible to make such nc-makros.

 

With a makro u can override this in many ways. u can even use the nc code of more then 1 opration and put it in a single makro.

We have a Biesse. 

The programs are optimized to machine all though processes last, so the 8mm is drilled first followed by the 5mm though bore.

 

I don't know how to use set up the macros. I'm sure its simple but I'm "simpler"

Just had a play around with the NC Macro 3D tool.  I tried exporting it and got; 
"WARNING:NC macro found, but this NC export does not support NC macros. Workpiece: Custom Part-82, NC Macro Name: DRILLYHOLE"
so it seems that wont work for me... any other options?

ich würde es vorschlagen als Boxobjekt anzulegen. Dann könnte man die 2 Bohrungen einfügen.

Alternativ könnte es auch als Systemverbinder funktionieren. ähnlich wie der Clamex. Fräsen und Bohren

 

Anbei die Datei mit Connector als Boxobjekt

Geht als Systemverbinder auch mit eigenem Raster.

( Hier müsste der Connector aber Gedreht werden damit er in der Außenseite ist.)
