bertf Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Hi, How can I adjust the depth of a cut through contour? Now the depth is exactly the same as the thickness of the panel. Great would be if I could define this on the router. Thanks, Kinds regards, Bert
polylignum Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Hi @bertf please uncheck the box "cut through". Than the depth will be ajustable.
bertf Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Autor Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Hi Polygnum, Thanks for you're reply but I want Cut through to be checked. This Contour is part of a symbol that can be placed on panels with variable thicknesses and I don't want the user to change the depth.
Martin Kurys Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Hello @bertf, actually "Cut through" does the same as Depth >= Thickness of the workpiece. In both cases the Depth of Contour 3D will result in Thickness of the workpiece + "Sizing z addition" (Machine Configuration -> Machining Settings). At the moment we are discussing about two separate Tool Property regarding the relative and absolute depth of a router in connection with Contour 3D's "Cut through" and the depth of the Profile 3D. Both are in the upper part of our Backlog, but I can't give you any timeline when those will be implemented. Kind regards, Martin
bertf Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Autor Geschrieben 18. Oktober 2021 Hi Martin, Thanks for the info. Sizing z addition is currently not in my machine configuration: But I see the configuration names have been updated on the default NC-hops export: I think I better look at updating all the settings and look for updates in my customized python files. I'm wondering if it would be better to book a remote session to see where the exporterstarter has changed and which custom code might be obsolete? Thanks, Kind regards, Bert 1
