Referenzierte DGW

Hallo Forum,

 

 

wir stellen uns hier gerade die Frage, was es mit den referenzierten DWG/DXF Dateien auf sich hat.

 

Benutzt jemand dieses Feature und kann seine Erfahrungen diesbezueglich teilen in Bezug auf:

 

- Anwendungsbeispiele

- Performance

- Vor- und Nachteile

- Vectorworks Dateigroessen

Hi Kingchaos, 

 

I never use the DWG import until you mentioned it. I had a look and did a quick test, from my undersatnding it is creating a direct link to the original file. 

For example, I created some variables in  the original DWG to drive a shape. 

Then I imported the DWG into IC as single file. 

I made changes the shape and variables in the Original DWG  and saved it. 

When I update the file in IC, it automatically pick up the changes. 

 

In assumption, this feature might be good for data exchange between Autocad and VW users. 

Not sure if it can be used creatively with Interiocad to build parts.

for sure that is references as u described, u modify the dwg and it is modified in vw too.

 

i only wanted to know, whether someone is using this for certain stuff.

 

You can import your architect plan with a reference, then u change in autocad (and use colors for all your changings) and then u see in VW what is changed and in what it is changed.

does someone knows, whether i can modify the referenced filename so i dont have to modify my origin dwg plan?

 

Then u can modify it, save as "modfied ....dd.mm.yy" and only change the referencefilename.

 

but i dont know, whether or how this will work

you can use it for the measurement / roombuilding. 

 

Some ppl are forced to use architects dwg/dxf (u know its a nightmare what u get there)

 

 

But if  u want to start a final construction u need an exact measument from the construction site.

 

When u imported the ground plot from the architects, it wont be in reality what the architect dreamed of.

 

 

So u can measure excat, correct your dwg plan (mark the corrections with special color) and then u adjust the walls, windows etc f.E. onto the corrected items u change in the dxf/dwg. U easily find them if u mark die corrections with special color.

 

 

Sometimes it was not able to snap to the points, or lines in the referenced dwg, but this not happenes often.

Ein referenziertes DWG hat folgende Vorteile:

• Das DWG lässt sich automatisiert einlesen, wenn eine neuere Version mit gleichem Namen die referenzierte Datei im Explorer/Finder ersetzt.
• Die ganzen Layer der referenzierten DWG werden nicht ins Dokument importiert sondern bleiben in dem importierten DWG eingekapselt.

Kommt drauf an, ob du eine Kopie der referenzierten Objekte im Dokument speicherst. Wenn nicht->ja. Wenn ja->nicht.
